Stephen Colbert only gets two minutes into his “Questionert” with Jake Gyllenhaal before the latter is imitating the noise a spider supposedly makes.
This is the kind of mild chaos you can expect from an eight-minute interview in which The Late Show host asks a series of quickfire questions designed to “prize open the emotional ribcage and penetrate to the psychic heart of a guest.”
We’re not sure if Gyllenhaal’s emotional ribcage is fully prized by the end, but it’s interesting to hear his views on the merits of the window vs. the aisle seat, and about the time he asked John C. Reilly for an autograph by presenting him with a meringue.
