Vacuums are inarguably one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse Black Friday. But while Black Friday is one of the best times of year to buy a vacuum, you don’t have to wait until the few days preceding Black Friday to find a good deal. That’s because retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Target remind us every year that Black Friday season is actually just the entire month of November.
Whether you’ve been drooling over a Dyson all year or are looking to hand off the act of vacuuming completely by opting for a robot vacuum, there’s probably an early Black Friday deal for that. Why we like it
It wouldn’t have been surprising if the Roomba Combo j9+ didn’t go on sale for Black Friday due to its recent release and its status as the most advanced Roomba. Not only did it go on sale weeks before Black Friday, but is up for grabs for under $1,000 after a nearly 30% discount.
The Roomba Combo j9+ is the successor to last year’s Roomba Combo j7+ that we tested and loved. These are the only two true hybrid Roombas that have a retractable mopping pad that lifts over the vacuum when carpet is sensed (rather than requiring you to manually swap in a water tank to enact mopping mode). However, the Combo j9+ is better than the j7+ in several ways: it has more powerful dry suction, scrubs more thoroughly (with cleaning solution, if you so choose), and empties itself into a dock where it automatically refills the water tank.

We dubbed the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Dyson’s best bang for your buck when it was full price. Let that sink in while reading that the V12 Detect Slim is now $250 cheaper — up for grabs for less than $400 now — thanks to an early Black Friday deal at Dyson’s website.
The Mashable Choice winner is the best Dyson for most people because it has what is arguably Dyson’s best feature on a cordless vacuum ever on a compact body that’s 24% lighter than its bigger sibling, the V15 Detect. That feature is a green laser that highlights microscopic dust on a hard floor that you originally thought was clean (you sweet fool). For plush carpeting, a motorized cleaning head is also included, and all debris collected is sent through a HEPA filter.
